Product Description
This is the newer and improved version of the very famous Army Kukri “Service No 1”. No 1 Kukri, famous because of its close association with the Gurkhas is issued to all soldiers serving in the “Royal Gurkha Rifles”. However, during this time phrase, KHT (Khukuri House Thamel) has designed and redesigned many new and old Kukris improvising them with new different shapes and handles. A new make over was due to this ever green Kukri that was getting old with time.
Here’s how KHT redesigns this old Army Kukri.
The shape of the Kukri remains the same as we stick with the traditional shape. A different knotch has been made. The typical looking knotch seen in all the Kukris has been crafted differently. The purpose of it to let the blood drip to the floor and not to the handle has still been maintained by the new tip built in place of the knotch.
A flat tang blade has been invested to the new finger grip buffalo horn handle that gives better grip and better strength to the handle. A metal circular ring also has been crafted at the end of the handle as one can strap this Kukri in his hand when in use or with his thigh when carrying one.
This new Service No 5 Kukri is not an army issue but remodeled by KHT.
