Khukuri blades originated in Nepal god knows when. We only have this belief that when Alexander The Great traveled India, he carried a Khukuri Alike sword, a Koopis, it could have then we Nepalese could have used that copied its style and formed our own called now Khukuris. Well what ever way led to origin of khukuris is a mystery and don't think it's going to be solved easily.
Khukuri, a great weapon and tool has been a part of armory for the Gurkhas has traveled across the globe winning many hearts of knife lovers. Gurkhas have fought many battels in Asia too with this blade and it has won many hearts and was loved above most by one nation among the rest. Our neighboring country Indonesia has been love with khukuri blades for a very long time. Their khukuri blades are a bit different to one crafted in Nepal and they have their own flavor. They appear a bit different but with an easy view one can tell they are khukuri blades as well. Equally high quality craftsmanship and equal high level handmade crafting methods, these Indonesian khukuri blades are second to none.
